Rodeo Dunes Master Plan

Inspired by the golf courses and small towns of Scotland, Ireland, and England, Dream Golf hired Cardo to design the first village for their Rodeo Dunes golf resort. Nearly 50 miles east of Denver, where the Great Plains meet the Rocky Mountains, lies a spectacular 2,000-acre of piece of land with rolling grasslands and sand dunes. Today the land is used mostly for cattle grazing, and has been for nearly 170 years, but it will one day host 6 elite golf courses and be a thriving community. Cardo was tasked with creating a village that celebrates the rich ranching history of the land, harnesses spectacular views of the Rockies, and provides a vibrant hub for those coming to Rodeo Dunes for golf. The first village will have over 240 bedrooms, some for permanent residents and others for hotel guests, within walking distance of numerous other amenities. Homes are centered around a pasture for grazing, with a rodeo, restaurants, putting greens, and a chapel steps away. A narrow lane, meant for pedestrians, not cars, will link together all the village buildings. Looking out your front door you’ll see a narrow path, harkening to old towns from the Wild West, and out the back door, modern amenities and unspoiled views of the American West.
